Hello to my gorgeous readers 😘
So this is my first ever Benefit review which is crazy becausr I’ve loved Benefit products for as long as I can remember.
I’m soo glad that I made the first 500 ‘Friends with Benefits’ bloggers to receive a deluxe sample of the recently released Benefit PoreFessional Matte Rescue primer. For the past 2 months I’ve been using the Nivea for men post-shave balm which took the beauty world by storm when it was first suggested. Which don’t get me wrong it’s great but it just doesn’t do it for me when I’m having a really oily skin day, which I seem to be sporting more often than not at the moment.
Firstly, I love Benefits packaging ideas and this is no different, the bright, pop art style design is really eye-catching and if that’s not enoigh then I’m sure the glare from the silver will get your attention.
The Benefit Matte Rescue is a sheer pastel blue colour but has a very fresh, floral sort of smell to it but this disappears when it dries, which is almost instantly. (It kind of remind me of antibacterial hand gel with the texture and the drying speed).
The primer is water based which I prefer as you end up feeling refreshed and light rather than a silicone based primer which leaves me feeling greasy and cakey.
I applied my makeup over it as normal and checked it every hour or so and, to my surprise, there was no point in which I thought I looked shiny and greasy, woooo!
It’s available from the Benefit website and is £21.50 for a 50ml tube. This will definitely be my new holy grail primer and I will be picking up the full sized version very soon!
